New Mexico is famous for its petroglyphs. These pieces were made in reverse of my usual technique of pushing forward from the back. I pushed into the front of the copper to simulate the chipping of rock to create the petroglyphs. I came up with this idea as a solution to the problem of using some previously wrinkled copper. This piece is 11" x 11" and is wrapped around a piece of 1x fir.
Please note that the visible color of the copper greatly depends on the light it is reflecting and will vary between photographs and during the course of the day.
